Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for compliance matters in EMEA, including designing, implementing, and improving existing and future policies and procedures. These matters would include “know your customer”/anti-money laundering, antibribery, export controls/sanctions, antitrust, code of conduct, regulatory, and whistleblowing.
- Ensuring compliance with Renishaw’s legal and regulatory obligations. Identify and communicate legal and regulatory developments potentially impacting Renishaw’s businesses.
- Conduct and manage internal investigations, including as related to whistleblowing reports.
- Complete other legal projects as assigned and willingness to act as stand-in due to absences within the team.
- Preparing, managing and conducting training programs, both in person and electronic.
- Participate in internal and external audit reviews or assessments, including any risk or control concerns identified by auditors or management.
Skills:
- Successful completion of a degree in a (business) law program.
- Relevant experience (not less than 5 years) within a corporate context, including compliance matters as “know your customer”/anti-money laundering, antibribery, export controls/sanctions, antitrust, code of conduct, regulatory, and whistleblowing.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, with a strong understanding of international compliance requirements.
- Integrity, ethics, and professionalism, with a commitment to promoting a culture of ethical behavior and compliance.
- Strong ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve compliance goals.
- Comfortable working autonomously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Clear organisation, time management, decision-making experience. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify compliance risks and develop appropriate strategies for mitigation.
- Travelling is required within EMEA region.
- Proficiency with German& English (written and verbal) required
- Experience in the area of commercial contract drafting & negotiation would be helpful.
